Recently completed and in its new home in Montana is "All the Comforts", depicting a Fairchild F-71 of Canadian Airways during the 1930's.
A prospector has been dropped off to spend the rest of the summer and a good part of the fall by himself in the wilderness. He is one of a breed that is quite content to be alone and is more than able to live off of what nature will provide. The few supplies he has brought will easily provide all the comforts he'll need.
This particular aircraft was flown extensively in the rugged Canadian northwest by Z. Lewis Leigh. Leigh would later become the first pilot hired by Trans-Canada Air Lines, forerunner of today's Air Canada. Lewie's adventures and flying memoirs are recalled in his book "And I Shall Fly" available from CANAV Books.
